A. Week 2.1

These past few days were quite the adventure! Because of the virus, I am staying home from school, and my mom is working from home, so we get to spend a lot of time together. When mom isn’t working, we take walks, have lunch, watch Ellen (Our favorite TV show), and read “The Book of Gutsy Women” By: Hillary Clinton. And with being out of school, I would think I could spend time with my family, like we do on summer break. Wrong!!! You have to stay “In your house” and you have to “stay six feet away from people” I wanted to learn a new language. I was like "Spanish, no, sign language, no, Spanish" I didn't know which one, but then I started doing a sign language class. The next thing I knew, I knew how to sign my name!

We are still Optimistic Week 1.2

We stopped at Swell Coffee on our way to drop Adelyn off at her dad's house on Tuesday. I feel so much obligation to give all my money to local businesses since I am still able to work full-time. Plus, any excuse to have chocolate inside of my coffee. While Adelyn was at her dad's and Brad was at work for the rest of the week, I did some big Work of my own in addition to disinfecting our house. Our weekend was pretty low-key. Except MY cat (the good one, Talon, not pictured above) is sick and we had to take her to the Emergency Room. I think she's just stressed out because there are people around all the time now. This is why she's my cat. Brad did go out a bit this weekend to help Jake with some DIY projects. The

We can do hard things. Week 1.1

In real time here, it's Tuesday afternoon. Week 2 of our WFH/self-quarantine adventure. I just finished my last task that I wanted to get done "at work" today and I'm anxious (ha! all the time!) to get off the computer and go for a walk with Adelyn before it starts raining. But more importantly, I wanted to get a blog going so our family can remember the weirdness that was the Corona Pandemic in Spring of 2020. I'm just going to keep a - probably very boring- outline of our  general goings-on while we're home. Here's where we're at so far: January 21st: 1st reported case of Coronavirus in WA State (home). The west side has been hit hard. We live in eastern WA and still have a few weeks before there are any confirmed cases in Spokane County. February 6-10: I'm so glad I was able to make this trip to AZ to see my bff when I did. No mention of Covid at all while I was gone, I had 0 concern traveling through SeaTac. Awesome. February 28th: Firs
